Kelly realised at a very young age that her vocation in life was going to be a career in the medical field where she could be of service to others. The desire to pursue a career in Audiology was fuelled when her granny was at risk of losing her hearing as a result of chemotherapy treatment. It was then that Kelly realised that hearing is a gift that no one should be denied.
Kelly graduated as a dually qualified therapist in 2011 with an honours degree in Communication Pathology (Speech-Language Therapy and Audiology) from the University of Pretoria. She then furthered her studies by doing a one year counselling course through UNISA and also trained further in the field of Cochlear implants at the University of Stellenbosch in 2014.
Kelly has gained vast experience in both the private and public sector. She has worked at Livingstone Hospital, Dora Nginza and PE Provincial Hospital and spent 3 years working in private practice prior to starting Kelly Schroeder Audiology in January 2017. Having had the opportunity to provide a service in both the government and private sector, Kelly has been able to expand her knowledge as she has been exposed to many different case presentations.
